Hospitality is a key part of the DNA of Barefoot Church. God has called us to be as invitational as He is when He says, "On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!"

Barefoot Cafe is made up of five teams. Each team is a group of people who enjoy expressing hospitality. The spiritual gift of hospitality is the ability to welcome strangers and entertain guests with great joy and kindness so that they become friends. These people tend to have an "open home" where others are welcome to visit. This gift is often combined with the natural talents of interior design, cooking, and event planning.

During the Motion Project we are gearing up to take our Cafe environment to the next level. If you want to be a part of this vital outreach/service ministry, please e-mail me at: cafe@barefootchurch.com.

Hey Barefoot!

The past 5 years have been adventurous, fulfilling, scary, and mind-blowing all at the same time. God has poured out His blessings on our church because we have been faithful with what God has entrusted us with. We're witnessing hundreds of lost people choose a relationship with Christ!

And now, it's time to take the next step in reaching out. Our vision as a church is to change lives that change the world! It’s impossible to consider fulfilling that vision without moving beyond where we are and chasing after what God has put in front of us with everything that we have. The direction has been set and we're inviting you to get on board. Over the next year, we will grow in incredible ways ... more than any one of us can imagine. We’re influencing our local communities for Christ; we're going to turn our city upside down to reach the un-churched and de-churched and my challenge to you is this ... let's start the motion!

We are boldly asking God to provide $750,000 as funding for His next step in our church’s history. Here are the details of The Motion Project:

New and Improved Barefoot Kids Area
Each weekend we minister to nearly 200 kids ranging from infants to 5^th graders. Due to our rapid growth, we are currently adding 5400 square feet to our existing Barefoot Kids area. We currently have a 2000 square foot modular building that serves as space for our infants and toddlers in addition to our upstairs area that is 1800 square feet which is for our Kindergarten-5^th Grade Ministry. Upon the completion of our new buildings, we will be moving our K-5 ministry area to the new facilities. In total, we will have 7400 square feet of space for our Barefoot Kids.

Cost for Barefoot Kids Area

$65,000 (to outfit the new Barefoot Kids building with furniture & other essential items for classrooms, lobby, playground, etc.)

$337,000 (purchase price of existing modular and new addition)

Café Expansion

“When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” -Romans 12:13

One of our core values as a church is hospitality. Each weekend, hundreds of people experience that hospitality through the ministry of our café. We are seeking to take this environment to the next level by adding more out space that can serve our guests year round beyond the warm months of the summer season. We currently are able to provide a vibrant and relational café environment at the front of our building before and after our weekend worship experiences. However, when the weather is cold or inclement, providing this environment for our guests is a challenge. Our vision is to retrofit the front of our current facility so that it can be used year round as our café environment for the weekends and through the week. Additionally, we also plan to retrofit the rear of our auditorium to provide more social space and an area for our guests to receive information about their next steps and for first time visitors to have an area to connect with our church.
Total Estimated Cost: $350,000
